Thomas Wolsey personality type is ESTJ, which is one of the most common Jungian typings. ESTJs are the go-getters, the self-assured, the practical, and they’re not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. They’re more likely to be the one in the room who’s talking about what needs to get done and getting things done. ESTJs are the ones who really know how to get things done.

The ESTJ personality type is sometimes called the “organizer” or “manager.” You’ll find that ESTJs are very good at following through on plans, and if something falls through the cracks, it’s because that person didn’t follow through on the plan. ESTJs keep things under control, and if something doesn’t get done well, it’s because the organizer didn’t keep their eye on the ball.

Thomas Wolsey was the Lord Chancellor of England from 1515 to 1529. He essentially ran England's government during this time, and secured a number of foreign policy victories, including the 1518 Treaty of London. Wolsey also patronised education heavily. For example, he sought to make his home town, Ipswich, a capital of learning with profits from dissolved religious houses. His downfall came when he failed to secure a Papal annulment for the King's marriage to Catherine of Aragon.
