Fan Li personality type is ENTJ, so not so clear-cut. But, I think the question is more about how he has been portrayed in the media, and not so much about his actual personality. In the media, he's been portrayed as a maniacal villain, just like he is in the books. I was thinking that this could indicate that the media has been influenced by the books, and that this is a sign that he really is a psychopath. I have a feeling that this is a case of media influencing the character's personality. Or perhaps it's just a case of the media and the books not agreeing with each other and making Li uncomfortable in public. Does anyone think that any of this is true?Or is it just a case of the media wanting to make him look bad in order to be more popular?

Fan Li (Chinese: 范蠡; pinyin: Fàn Lǐ) from the Spring and Autumn period, was an ancient Chinese military strategist, politician, and businessman. Fan Li was an important political and military advisor to Goujian, the king of Yue. He became known as Tao Zhu Gong (陶朱公) which he took after achieving a decisive victory for Yue over the state of Wu and retiring to live a secluded life with his wife Xi Shi, one of the most famous beauties in Chinese history.
