Alison Bechdel is a cartoonist and a graphic novel author. Her most well-known work is the series "Dykes to Watch Out For". In her work, Bechdel explores gender roles, sexuality, and identity. She's been the subject of a documentary called "Tiny Furniture" and an episode of "The L Word." Her work has been translated into many languages and she's been a guest on several television shows.
I was a little surprised to see that she was a "T," since I've known a few INTPs in my time, but I started going through her interviews at the end of the book and suddenly realized that she fits the descriptions of the INTP personality type very well. Here's what she said when asked about her type:
"I'm an introvert. I would say I'm an introvert who happens to be a cartoonist."
She's very comfortable with her introverted nature, which is unusual for an extroverted type. She also said that she thinks extroverts are very interesting, but she finds it hard to put up with them because they're so "on" all the time.
Alison Bechdel is an American cartoonist. Originally best known for the long-running comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, she came to critical and commercial success in 2006 with her graphic memoir Fun Home, which was subsequently adapted as a musical that won a Tony Award for Best Musical in 2015. In 2012, she released her second graphic memoir Are You My Mother? She was a 2014 recipient of the MacArthur "Genius" Award. She is also known for originating the Bechdel test.
