Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) personality type is ISTP, which is the workaholic, independent, and technical type. He’s nothing like his dad, who was an ESTP. The fact that MKBHD is an ISTP and not an ENTJ is clear when you hear him talk about his work and the things he does. He’s a mastermind at what he does and has a passion for it. He’s an insanely good and creative writer and storyteller (see his book: “The Gorilla Mindset”), and I can see why he’s become such a popular Youtube personality.
The fact that his workaholic, independent, and technical nature is different from his dad’s (who was an ENTJ) is likely why MKBHD (and probably his dad) aren’t like their dads. There’s no question that MKBHD is a completely different person from his dad. They have very different personalities and while I don’t think MKBHD’s personality is “better” than his dad’s, I do think it’s a lot more interesting and fun to watch.
