RetroVlogs personality type is ESTJ, or the “Domineering Manager.” I’m not sure what they mean by that, but I think they mean business-oriented (read: “bossy”) and they’re not wrong. I like having a solid crew of people who work with me on my projects, and I like to think of myself as their boss. I like to be in control of the final product, and I like to be able to give my friends feedback about their work.
I always know what I want when I see it, and I’m pretty good at assessing if something is working or not, so I tend to over-commit—sometimes too much. I can be really hard on myself when my work is not good enough, but I also know when something isn’t working and when it needs to change. I like having balance in my life, but sometimes this means that I have to let things go that aren’t working.
My biggest challenge in giving feedback is that, in my opinion, it’s often misunderstood.
