St Athanasius of Alexandria personality type is ENTJ, and the Christian martyr. I just read his biography and I found that interesting, and was able to imagine him in my mind. He was an important man, who was able to organize several building projects, and he wrote several books on theology. I have noticed that Roman Catholics, Evangelicals, and Orthodox Christians have more of the ENTJ personality type than Protestants. This is interesting to me.

I remember reading that St Athanasius was very hard on the Gnostics, neither saying they are heretical, nor saying they are not heretical. He chose to nip the problem in the bud, rather than let it grow. He was able to stay on top of the situation, and chose to not let anything slip by him. Also, he chose to reason with the Gnostics.

The Gnostics were known for their ability to reason with the people of their time, and their ability to convince others of their beliefs. They were able to communicate with people that believed in other gods, but they were not able to convince them of their own ideas of God. Because of their inability to convince others of their ideas of God, the Gnostics are not considered heretical today.

Athanasius I of Alexandria[note 1] (c. 296–298 – 2 May 373), also called Athanasius the Great, Athanasius the Confessor or, primarily in the Coptic Orthodox Church, Athanasius the Apostolic, was the 20th bishop of Alexandria (as Athanasius I). His intermittent episcopacy spanned 45 years (c. 8 June 328 – 2 May 373), of which over 17 encompassed five exiles, when he was replaced on the order of four different Roman emperors. Athanasius was a Christian theologian, a Church Father, the chief defender of Trinitarianism against Arianism, and a noted Coptic Christian (Egyptian) leader of the fourth century.
