Walter Bishop personality type is INTP, the fourth letter of the ENFP. He is a true INTP in that he has a true preference for logic, reason, logic, order, and the future. However, I have tempered this with a dash of ENFP to give him a slightly more open style.
Walter is a character who has been very difficult to write. He’s not particularly likeable. He doesn’t have a happy ending. He’s kind of a jerk. But he’s also very, very memorable.
He’s the only character in the entire series who has an appearance in every one of the books. I think that was deliberate on my part because he’s the only character to have an appearance in every book.
He also has an appearance in The Time Traveler’s Wife, but that’s not really considered canon. I’m not sure if that’s right or not, but I just thought it was funny to have the only character to appear in all of them have his own book.
And yes, he is the only character who has an appearance in every book.
