Wade Watts personality type is INTP, the blind leading the blind. He had great insight into the human condition and was a true philosopher. His greatest honor was to help bring about the enlightenment age, which we are all still living in. I guess the question is how can we possibly carry on from where he left off?
I would say that Mr. Watts created the digital age, but he also showed us how to live in it, how to live well in it and how to make it a better place for all of us. This is what we need now, a new way of thinking about the world, a new way of thinking about ourselves, and an understanding of the human condition. The answer is not in the world of technology, but rather in some kind of synthesis of Nietzsche, Carl Jung, Rene Descartes, Terence McKenna and Carl Sagan. (The collective unconscious, fractal geometry, the psychedelic plant teachers, etc.)
The answer is not in the digital world, but rather in the integration of this new world view with the old.
I think that Mr. Watts did his job well. He helped us start to think about our current world view and to ask ourselves questions about it.
