It was during his childhood that he was trained in the art of leh wai pong by his father, and he began his career at a very young age. He would later travel to Nakhon Si Thammarat, where he fought a variety of opponents.
He took part in several fights including fights against unknown opponents. He would win his first three fights which earned him the title of the ‘King of Muay Thai’.
The first time he fought for a title was against the famous fighter from Phetchaburi, Saen Chor. Pongsapak won that fight and earned the title for himself.
