What is the personality type of Stewart Lee? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Stewart Lee from Comedians and what is the personality traits.
Stewart Lee personality type is INTP, with its best fit being ENTJ.
I’m not sure what this means for his conceptualization of the “British comedy movement.” As far as I can tell, he doesn’t really talk about what makes British comedy more British than American, but he does say something about the particular way the English are funny. He says that our Englishness is “the prickly side of our politeness,” which means that we are kinder to each other than the French are. So I guess his argument is that British humor is more polite than American humor, but not more sensible.
It is true that Stewart Lee is a dry, precise humorist who can be very funny. And it is also true that his show is an extended meditation on the fact that there are no less than three different styles of comedy on BBC Radio 4, all of which are laugh-provoking to some degree. But I don’t know how much of this is simply a reflection on modern British culture, or whether it also reflects something about his personality type.
As I mentioned, my impression is that Stewart Lee is an INTP.
