King Kai (TFS DBZ Abridged) personality type is ESTJ, which is the dominant function of the external world (Si) and the internal world (Te). So, as seen above, his dominant function is Si. As such, he uses his Si to make himself appear as a rational, logical person. However, as we can see from his interactions with Goku, he is not exactly rational and logical: he tends to be quick to anger and will quickly resort to violence and/or violence-inspired words and actions. As such, his Si is often at odds with his Te. This often makes him appear as an extremely stubborn and unreasonable person. His Si makes him prone to logical fallacies and logical errors such as his belief that he’s “not letting go” of Gohan until he’s dead.
However, his Te is somewhat balanced out by his Se, which encourages him to keep fighting against impossible odds. He seems to be somewhat aware of the fact that he is not all-powerful and that he is likely going to die one day, but he continues to fight anyway.
