"Ebrietas" was first announced in May 2008, as an anime adaptation of the light novels written by Chika Shirokiri, which itself was based on the "Ebrietas" manga by Yūki Kodama. It aired for 12 episodes on TV Tokyo from April 9 to June 27, 2009, with a total of 20 episodes. In October 2009, the anime won the "Best General Audience Award" at the 8th Animation Kobe awards.
