Keith “Fat Bastard” Bandy personality type is ESTP, which I’ve already written a bit about here.
Here’s the catch, though. While ESTP is a pretty decent fit for Bandy, his personality type would not have predicted his actions. In fact, the very words Bandy uses to describe himself are those the ESTP would never say.
I’m all for the “Fuck you, I’m my own man” attitude, and I think that’s probably true of a lot of people who call themselves ESTPs. But Bandy’s actions make it clear that he’s not really doing that. He doesn’t really support himself financially at all, instead relying on his family to provide for him. He’s also got a pretty serious drinking problem, which is something ESTPs would never admit to.
There’s a bit of a contradiction there, and it gets better if you look at his Myers-Briggs type.
ESTPs are the “presence” types, which I wrote about here. This means they can be loud and boisterous, but they don’t care much about the opinions of others.
