In a speech he gave to the San Diego chamber of commerce, Judge Curiel bemoaned the “excesses” of capitalism, declaring “In a free market, prices are determined by supply and demand, not the whim of politicians or the desires of special interests …”
Of course, he’s not the only one to express such sentiments. In a recent interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Bernie Sanders also voiced his loathing for free-market capitalism. He declared that “the essence of what Trump is talking about is essentially a return to a form of trickle-down economics.”
When Matthews pressed him on this, though, Sanders admitted that he didn’t know what exactly Trump was talking about.
