In the "Kingdom Hearts" series, the main protagonist is Sora, a young teenager who is a member of The Keyblade Wielders' Club. He is the adopted son of King Mickey and Riku, and the rival of Roxas, a member of Organization XIII, a group of thirteen wielders of the Keyblades called the Nobodies, who seek to bring back their original forms. Sora's personality varies from game to game, but he is characterized as being a cheerful and determined character who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those he cares about. His strength and fighting abilities are at their peak during his first encounter with the Heartless, as well as his first fight against the Organization. As the series progresses, Sora's personality changes; by the end of the first game he is more serious and mature. In the second game, he becomes much more independent and less trusting of other people.
