But according to the DxDiag tool, the Surface Studio isn't actually running a 64-bit version of Windows 10. It's running a 32-bit version, which explains why it's been so hard to get the thing working. It's basically a PC with a monitor, keyboard and mouse attached to it.

The Surface Studio has two separate sections: the "keyboard" and the "screen." The actual screen is where you'll spend most of your time. The keyboard section can be detached and docked as an external display, but it doesn't work as well as the screen side of things.
