When I was little, I had a lot of girlfriends, but not so much with guys. I don’t mind being the center of attention, but I definitely prefer being part of a group.
I have always had a strong sense of identity. From the time I was very young, I felt that I was different from other kids, which made me feel special. I was the only girl in my class who could read before kindergarten. I was the only child in my family who went to college. After college, I started working in factories where everyone was white and female.
