This conflict is resolved through the process of identifying the self-expression with the harmony, so that harmony is seen as the primary value. This can be seen in the following story:
A woman was interviewing for a job at a well-known company. The manager explained that each employee must have a unique personality, which she would find out during the interview. Therefore, she might ask some questions about her management style. The woman began to describe herself. She had a clear vision of what she wanted to do and she knew exactly how she wanted to accomplish it. However, she realized that her style was not compatible with the company’s management style. Therefore, she was completely out of place. She knew she was a valuable worker, but she was not able to do what she wanted to do because of this conflict.
