Mapuche personality type is ISTP, however, the reality is that the region is probably more of ISTJ or ESTJ. To be fair, at least in their more recent history, the Mapuche have had a pretty close connection to the European Catholic Church.

The Mapuche are also noted for their stubbornness and will not easily change their ways. This is one of the reasons that the European colonists, who once lived among them, did not want to change their ways of life or their language.

For this reason, they chose to wage war against them, rather than work more closely with them, despite the fact that many of them are of Celtic origin.

The Mapuche are more likely to be found in the south of Chile, centered around the regions of Aconcagua, San Carlos de Apoquindo, and Lonquimay.

Mapuche or Mapudungun (from mapu 'land' and dungun 'speak, speech') is an Araucanian language related to Huilliche spoken in south-central Chile and west central Argentina by the Mapuche people (from mapu 'land' and che 'people'). It is also spelled Mapuzugun and Mapudungu. It was formerly known as Araucanian, the name given to the Mapuche by the Spaniards; the Mapuche avoid it as a remnant of Spanish colonialism.
