Perry personality type is INTP, with a subtype of INTJ. I’m also an INTJ, but the external world is the major influence on my personality type. I don’t think I can use the Myers Briggs to explain my life.
I’ve often heard INTJs described as being ahead of their time. I think this is accurate. INTJs are the only Myers Briggs type who are most likely to be rock stars, inventors, scientists, engineers, and other creative people.
My dad was an engineer, my mom was a teacher, and my sister became a teacher. I wanted to be an engineer too, but that was not the family’s expectation for me.
I was very interested in music. I wanted to be a musician, but my family expected me to be a nurse.
I didn’t want to be a nurse, so I became a programmer instead. I thought programming would be fun, but it wasn’t easy to be a programmer in the early days of computers. It became easier with the invention of the personal computer, but there were many other things I wanted to do.
