Saren Arterius personality type is ENTJ, I do not think there is another type that would be as likely to do this.
For those of you who say that the XENs are the most likely candidates, you're wrong. There are four types that would take on the identity of the XEN (which was actually created by the UNSC, but I digress). It's ENTJ, ESTJ, ESFJ, and ESFJ.
The ENTJ would be the most likely because they are the only type who could be so coldly calculating, so ruthless, so single-minded, so heartless. They are the only type who have the mental ability to enact this plan to begin with. And they are the only type who have the physical ability to complete it. They are the only type who have the mental ability to keep up their masks of civility and caring for people while they are carrying this out. The only way I can think of for them to accomplish this feat is to take on the identity of a being that is supposedly better than everyone else.
I agree with you on the other types. I think they are all good candidates, but it's hard to see one as being more likely than others.
