I use these functions to come up with ideas, and I use the strategy of brainstorming to come up with solutions. This is how I come up with my plans, and I plan out my day in the morning while I'm still in bed. I am an ENTJ, which means that I am a great leader, and I am a visionary.
I plan out what I'm going to do every day because it makes me feel more in control of my life. For example, I might have a plan for what I'm going to do during my lunch break, or I might have a plan for a night out with friends. Planning out my day helps me make sure that everything will go according to plan, and that nothing will go wrong.
