"The Beastmaster" (by John Boorman). It has a very deep meaning to me. I think it's an archetypal story about the hero's journey. A hero's journey is a mythological term that describes the life of a person who goes through a series of steps or stages of growth. The hero begins as a child or young adult with all the innocence of childhood, but eventually grows into an adult.
