Gary personality type is INTP, not INTJ as stated here, and as far as I can tell, no INTP has ever been interviewed for the show. That said, I've also seen people on this board say that they think that their INTP husband or wife was interviewed, and I've never heard of anyone on this board who's married an INTP actually being interviewed. It's a tough one to call.
Anyway, the fact is, in spite of his intelligence, the vast majority of INTPs are not geniuses. They're just people who are good at thinking.
donder In regards to being a genius, INTPs (and all other types) can develop special skills and gifts to use in their chosen fields. In this case, it's quite possible that he's developed some talent or ability in fields related to computers and computers software.
I have an INTP friend who is an engineer for the IRS and I have seen him use his skills to develop computer programs for them. He also uses his skills to help others solve their computer problems.
Owl I think the personality types thing is a load of crap. Why do people have to label?
