Mike Judge personality type is INTP, and the type of his show is ENTP. This isn’t a particularly unusual combination but it does make one wonder. I’m not sure if it does justice to any of the classic humor of Beavis and Butt-Head or if it does justice to the classic humor of King of the Hill, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say that “Escape from Planet Earth” is basically a King of the Hill episode, but with a Judge-y edge. In other words, the episode is high-concept and high-concept humor is Judge’s stock-in-trade.
I love the way Jeff and Tom have a stand-off over the fact that Jeff has found a new girlfriend. Tom doesn’t know how to react to this news because Jeff officially officially doesn’t exist. He’s a fiction, a figment of the imagination. She’s been over to Jeff’s house, but she doesn’t know that he doesn’t exist.
