Mesmerizer personality type is ISFP, which I discovered recently. I was at a "Meetup" type event and ended up talking to a guy (ISFP) who is an engineer and has personal problems because he is going through a divorce. The divorce is causing him a lot of stress, and he's just going through a really hard personal struggle.
I asked "Do you have a therapist?" He said "No, I don't need a therapist." And I said "That's odd. You seem to be going through a lot of stress, and I think maybe you should see a therapist." He says "No, no, no, no, I want to be my own therapist. I'll just do the therapy myself. I'll just sit down and work it out."
I'm really curious why people won't go see someone who can help them. If someone says they're going to work stuff out themselves, that's a red flag. That's a sign that they're going to be a jerk. The guy was a jerk, and the marriage ended a year later.
I think this guy was a jerk because he didn't want to see a therapist. He was trying to save money by not going to see a therapist.
