INTPs love facts and logic and their attention to detail is legendary. As children, INTPs often were the little kids who meticulously counted their toys and notes, or the kid that was always the one who wrote up a report before anyone else.
INTPs like to be alone, and they may even find solitude to be a requirement in order to be creative. They are absorbed with their own thoughts and ideas and this can be a turn-off for some people.
In general, INTPs prefer to be on their own, except when it comes to people and relationships. They have very high standards when it comes to people they meet and they tend to hold onto these standards even if others fail to meet them.
INTPs are often very private people who don’t have a problem with being alone, but they may have a hard time really opening up to other people.
