Rep. of Congo personality type is INTP, and I believe that's what we have here.
One thing that bugs me is that the movie makes it look like the people are knowingly moving to a country that's largely populated by cannibals, when in reality it probably wasn't really a conscious decision for many of them. If you're starving, and someone offers you a job that seemingly has a good chance of providing sustenance, then you might very well be persuaded to leave your home country.
In the end, what gets you killed if you're in the Congo is being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I don't know if you saw this movie, but it's kind of fascinating. I watched it on Amazon Prime and then made my way onto IMDB, where I learned that this was an adaptation of a book. It's not a straight novelization of the movie, but rather a collection of stories that were adapted from various interviews with refugees and "messengers". The ones who talk about their experiences in the Congo tend to be very blunt about their reasons for going into the country, and it's pretty easy to imagine that some of their stories may have been edited out for dramatic effect.
