    ENTP (7w8)

Cornish Rex personality type is ENTP, the only other type to be found in any significant numbers is the ISFP.

A lot of the traits associated with stereotypical "Cornish" behaviour are related to aspects of the ENTP personality type, including an over-reliance on logic, a desire to understand the world around them, strong independence and self reliance, and a desire to explore the unknown.

Another trait which is often ascribed to Cornish people is an independence of thought and an unusual approach to life. This is often followed up by a tendency to come to conclusions without the need for outside input or information, and they are also known for making strong choices with little caution or thought for social consequences.

A significant amount of the Cornish population is descended from the original Celtic tribes that were settled in Cornwall in prehistoric times, and some of these personalities are still evident today. Combined with the independent spirit of the Cornish people, this gives the Cornish a proud sense of their own identity, which can often cause them to be rather stubborn when it comes to accepting outside views on their own culture or beliefs. Some Cornish people are also proud of their national identity, and will argue its right to exist on a global scale.

A Cornish Rex is a breed of domestic cat. The Cornish Rex has no hair except for down. Most breeds of cat have three different types of hair in their coats: the outer fur or "guard hairs", a middle layer called the "awn hair"; and the down hair or undercoat, which is very fine and about 1 cm long. Cornish Rexes only have the undercoat. They are prone to hair loss and many will develop a very thin coat or even go bald over large parts of their body. The curl in their fur is caused by a different mutation and gene than that of the Devon Rex. The breed originated in Cornwall, Great Britain.
