"We've never done a study of which personality types perform best in Silicon Valley," Williams said. "This is the first one we've done."

Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, are working with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, a philanthropic organization that aims to improve the quality of life in Silicon Valley, to compare personalities of entrepreneurs with that of local workers and job candidates.

"(The personality types) are really interesting and we want to dig into them more," said Matt Massimino, a U.C. San Francisco professor who has been involved in the project.

Massimino said the study is in its early stages and it has not yet been determined if the data from the test group will be released publicly. He added that an estimated 20 percent of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs have some type of diagnosed emotional or mental health problem.

"It's not about the people that are successful," Massimino said. "It's about the people who are (in Silicon Valley) and the people who might be.

The sea otter is a marine mammal native to the coasts of the northern and eastern North Pacific Ocean. Adult sea otters typically weigh between 14 and 45 kg, making them the heaviest members of the weasel family, but among the smallest marine mammals. Unlike most marine mammals, the sea otter's primary form of insulation is an exceptionally thick coat of fur, the densest in the animal kingdom. Although it can walk on land, the sea otter is capable of living exclusively in the ocean. The sea otter inhabits nearshore environments, where it dives to the sea floor to forage. It preys mostly on marine invertebrates such as sea urchins, various mollusks and crustaceans, and some species of fish. Its foraging and eating habits are noteworthy in several respects. First, its use of rocks to dislodge prey and to open shells makes it one of the few mammal species to use tools.
