I think a lot of the reason why I’m so good at computers is because computers are my medium. I’m a writer, and I have a very difficult time typing on a keyboard on a regular basis. But with a computer, all I have to do is press a button and then the computer does all the work for me. I feel that way about my writing as well. I can’t type very well on a keyboard, but I can write just as well by using a computer.
I’m also very visual. I’m very much influenced by my art and my design background, and it doesn’t hurt that computers are also a visual medium. It’s a lot easier to build a new system on a computer, for example, than it is to build a new piece of art.
Because computers are my medium, they’re also my passion. Computers, or more technically, software development, is what I want to do with my life.
