The first thing to understand about a type is what is not in it. Types are not types of people. They are a system for categorizing the different ways people perceive the world. There is nothing in a type that declares a person can’t be a certain type. For example, an ESFP is a type, not a personality type. Personality types say you can’t be an ESFP, but the ESFP is a type of personality.
In the same way, there is nothing in a type that declares a person can’t be ESTP. In fact, pretty much every ESTP I’ve ever known was also an ESFP.
What IS in a type is the personality style, which usually falls in one of two camps: active or passive.
Active types are motivated by a desire to accomplish things in the outside world. They have a strong sense of self and a clear sense of what is important in life. They often have a strong “can-do” attitude and enjoy being with other people.
A centaur, or occasionally hippocentaur, is a mythological creature from Greek mythology with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse. Centaurs are thought of in many Greek myths as being as wild as untamed horses, and were said to have inhabited the region of Magnesia and Mount Pelion in Thessaly, the Foloi oak forest in Elis, and the Malean peninsula in southern Laconia.
