In the BIONICLE storyline, Inika was a Glatorian from the village of Kini-Nui who volunteered to fight in the Great Disruption, a catastrophe that killed all other Glatorians, and whose memories were used to create the Toa. After the Toa were created, Inika was mutated into a Toa of Ice and used by Tahu to defend his home. He became a servant of the villainous Onua Nuva, but was freed from Onua's control by his friend Hewkii, who used his powers of ice to free Inika from Onua's control. Inika later acted as a judge at Inika Nuva's trial, sentencing him to exile. He later helped fight the Makuta-controlled Vorahk during the Battle of Metru Nui.

Originating around 2003, glitch pop is an eclectic and often unconventional genre mostly based on the roots of experimental electronic elements and modern pop. Productions following the style incorporate the concrete/abstract sounds from glitch, IDM, and neo-psychedelia to a pop songwriting format, mostly related with PC music trends like bubblegum bass (and on more recent cases alternative R&B). Progenitors of the spuriously-named genre are Sweet Trip, Oval, Björk and post-rock bands like Disco Inferno which incorporated elements of glitch into their sound. ome recent mutations of the genre found in experimental indie rock/pop bands like Battles or Animal Collective have combined the genre's futuristic proclivities with rock sensibilities, in which some critics and indie music fans have called "glitch rock" bands, although the term has come under scrutiny for being vague and non-representative of a clear music scene of experimental, independent music.
