Fredo Corleone personality type is ESFP, or extroverted, sensing, feeling, and perceptive.

He was the first of the two sons of Vito Corleone, who was the patriarchal head of the Corleone crime family.

Federico was born during the early 1900s in Sicily. He had an older brother, Sonny (an extrovert), and a younger brother, Fredo (an introvert). He has an older sister, Connie (an introvert). His father was an abusive man, but he loved his children; he was quite fond of Fredo because he was his favorite.

The Corleone family home was a modest one in the town of New York City. It was a large single-family house with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Most of the men of the family slept in the living room, but usually Fredo slept in one of the bedrooms. The family was poor, but they had food on the table every day.

Vito's wife, Teresa, left him when he became abusive. She had married him for his money, but she wanted out. She wanted to have her own life with her own children. Fredo never forgave his mother for leaving his father.

Federico Corleone is a fictional character in Mario Puzo's 1969 novel The Godfather. Fredo is portrayed by American actor John Cazale in the Francis Ford Coppola 1972 film adaptation and in the 1974 sequel, The Godfather Part II. He is the second son of the Mafia don Vito Corleone. Fredo is the younger brother of Sonny and the elder brother to Michael and sister, Connie. Corleone family consigliere Tom Hagen is his informally adopted brother. Being weaker and less intelligent than his brothers, Fredo has little power or status within the Corleone crime family. In the novel, Fredo's primary weakness is his womanizing, a habit he develops after moving to Las Vegas and which earns his father's disfavor. In the films, Fredo's feelings of personal inadequacy and his inability to act effectively on his own behalf are character flaws leading to greater consequences.
