The Sablooth of "The Next Generation" series is a member of the species known as the Talaxians. He is the first character from the series introduced in "". He works in the transporter room of the "Enterprise" and is assigned to the ship by Admiral Erik Pressman, who wants to make use of his extensive knowledge of the ship's systems. When the "Enterprise" is trapped in a storm and the crew are trapped on a planet, he is responsible for an effective emergency repair that allows the ship to return to space.
