VHS personality type is INTP, which I think is great for me. I’m very good at seeing patterns, but I can also be extremely abstract and lose track of time. I think most people who write video games are ENTP. They’re always thinking of new ways to make things more interactive, or they’re always trying to better their game. I’m not interested in those things, so I’m happy to be more laid back and have a hobby that doesn’t necessarily involve thinking about myself all the time.
(I’m not as good at video games as I am at writing. In BizHawk, I have to make sure to avoid programming bugs because I’m terrible at it.)
As to the psychology behind my writing, while I did take some intro classes that had a focus on psychology, it hadn’t been a major part of my life. I’ve read a lot of psychology books in college, but the majority are focused on people with mental disabilities and not very applicable to my life.
