Head of the Final Project personality type is INTJ, however they average more women than men in this role. I have found that a lot of the companies in which I have worked with INTJ’s are typically male dominated, with the exception of a few large scale female dominated firms, so the fact that it is more common for women to occupy this role is not surprising.
Although it may seem like I am cherry picking situations that have a high number of females, I have also found that in my daily work as a Director of Operations, there are just as many females as males, and we all hold the same responsibilities. The company where I am currently working has been run by a female for the past 3 years and we have had a very successful year in terms of profit.
In summary, I believe that this study provides some interesting insights into how personality affects the workplace. Although there are a few negative aspects to working with an INTJ, I would argue that this is not a major issue for most people. If you do find yourself in a position where you are managing or working closely with an INTJ, I would recommend that you make sure that your working relationship is based on mutual respect, and make sure you are each getting what you need out of the situation.
