Fëanor personality type is INTP, or Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving. Feminine Feanor is ISTP.

Gandalf is a Feanor personality type, or a Feanorian – a type of Ni-Fe-Fe personality, which means he is an introverted intuitive thinker, perceiving with his senses, judging with his intuition, and acting on new information with his thinking.

Ni-Fe-Fe personality types are considered rare, but they are said to be more suited for leadership than most other personality types. Gandalf’s personality type is said to make him more effective as a leader than other personality types.

Gandalf is also said to be more focused on the future than other personality types, and to be more driven to achieve his goals than other personality types. It would make sense that Gandalf would be focused on the future of Middle-earth, since he is the leader of the Fellowship of the Ring.

Of course, it is possible that Gandalf’s personality type has changed over time, or that he has adopted different traits based on his new role as leader of the Fellowship of the Ring.

Fëanor is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium who plays an important part in The Silmarillion as the creator of the Silmarils, the skilfully-forged jewels that give the book their name and theme. He was the eldest son of Finwë, the High King of the Noldor, and his first wife Míriel Serindë. Fëanor's mother, Míriel, died shortly after giving birth, having given all her strength and essence to him. "For Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body and mind: in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill, in strength and subtlety alike: of all the Children of Ilúvatar, and a bright flame was in him." Finwë remarried, and had two more sons, Fëanor's half-brothers Fingolfin and Finarfin, and two daughters, Findis and Írimë. Fëanor's three jewels, the Silmarils, form a central theme of The Silmarillion as the human and elvish characters battle with the forces of evil for their possession.
