Jörg Schlaich is a German engineer and manager. He is the CEO of the German engineering firm B+H, which is one of the world's largest engineering consultancies. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG from September 2010 to September 2015.
His book The Globalization of Engineering: How Globalization is Changing the World of Engineering and Management is a book on the topic of globalization and the engineering profession. He was also a member of the executive committee of the Bilderberg Group.
Jörg Schlaich has written several books and articles on the subject of globalization and the engineering profession. Schlaich holds a PhD in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Solingen, Germany, and an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading, England.
Jörg Schlaich entered Siemens AG in 1976 and joined its management board in 1989. He was chairman of the supervisory board and CEO of Siemens AG from September 2010 to September 2015. He retired from Siemens in 2015.
