The thing is, Animals is an album that contains the work of many different people. Although interviews indicate that the song was written by frontman David Portner, he wasn't the only one involved with the writing process. The Animals were formed by Portner and multi-instrumentalist/producer/composer Benjamin Curtis, and a slew of other musicians filled out the band at various points. Portner and Curtis are clearly introverted types, but others who have been identified as being involved with the album include multi-instrumentalist Adam Taylor, recording engineer Andy Monaghan, and session guitarist Anders Olin. In addition, Portner's sister, April Portner, played keyboards for the end of the album, and another multi-instrumentalist has been identified as having been present for most of the album's production.
