Jean Massumi (BBB3) personality type is INTP, not INFP. This is not a typo. It’s not a matter of the way their language functions. It is an actual, observable difference. And it is particularly notable for this reason: it is the only difference that I have found to be so pronounced between two other purely descriptive typologies, one which purports to be a mapping of all Jungian types, and another which purports to map all Myers-Briggs types.
I have seen this difference between the two typologies myself. The following are two examples.
The MBTI instrument says that an ISTJ is “the most conservative of all types” (page 39). The Jungian typology says that an ISTJ “has a strong tendency to be moralistic”, and is “very likely to be heavily influenced by social norms” (page 19).
The MBTI says that an INTJ “has a reputation for being arrogant” (page 44). The Jungian typology says that an INTJ “is often seen as arrogant” (page 17).
This is not a matter of language.
