Alvin Olinsky personality type is INTP, which is a system builder. His type is in the gray area in the personality types because he is a bit of a system builder, which can lead him to feel a bit inauthentic. He is only a few years younger than me, but I was surprised to read his description in the book. I can relate to this description in a few ways. I have been accused of being a bit of a system builder, and that can be a bit of a negative thing. I do have the tendency to want the system to be just so, and I have been accused of being too “systematic”. In actuality, I am just trying to get the most efficiency out of a situation, but this can be a bad thing when I see it as a negative.
From this type description, I feel that Mr. Olinsky has a lot of what I have been fighting for. He is a creator, and he wants to share his creations with the world. His problem is that he can get caught up in his creations.
