But she chose to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she won a Rhodes scholarship and became a National Merit Scholar. She was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors after four years.
"People can choose to be cynical about that," she said of her college experience.
