    INFP

    INFP (4w5)

Diane Arbus personality type is INFP, and we can see that she exhibits some of the more extreme traits of that type.

INFPs are generally gentle, sensitive people who are often very private and aloof. They don’t like to draw attention to themselves, and they tend to keep their feelings and thoughts to themselves. They often feel overwhelmed by life and find it difficult to express their emotions or seek help. When they do express their emotions, they will do so in a way that seems disconnected from their own experience.

INFPs usually have a very romanticized view of love and relationships, and they tend to be very idealistic and romantic. They may have a strong desire for a happy, fulfilling, and meaningful romantic relationship. In romantic relationships, INFPs may be very caring and compassionate towards their partners, as well as very sensitive and emotionally expressive. In fact, they may be more emotionally expressive than other types. They may often be highly sensitive to their partner’s moods and emotions.

In relationships, they may also have a tendency to withdraw from their partner’s friends and family, as a way of trying to protect their partner from outside influences.

Diane Arbus (; March 14, 1923 – July 26, 1971) was an American photographer noted for photographs of marginalized people—dwarfs, giants, nudists, circus performers—and others whose normality was perceived by the general populace as ugly or surreal. Her work has been described as consisting of formal manipulation characterized by blatant sensationalism. In 1972, a year after she died by suicide (there exists a popular cliche of her being the Sylvia Plath of photographers), Arbus became the first American photographer to have photographs displayed at the Venice Biennale.
