Lada personality type is ENTJ, and I think this guy (at least the one and only guy they've ever shown) is ESFJ. You can see it in how he runs his own house and interacts with others. He doesn't like to be talked down to, and is not afraid to speak his mind. He is also very self-assured, and has the ability to be calm and collected in the face of conflict.
As far as my opinion on this matter, I think you're both right. It's most likely an ESFJ. If it was an ENTJ, they would most likely be more dominant and forceful in how they approach a situation.
