What is it about?
First of all, let's define what "Personality Type" means. I am using the book, Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, by Isabel Briggs Myers and Peter Myers, published in the 1950s. This is the most popular Jungian personality test, and it is often called "MBTI". A few words of explanation about this test are in order.
The Meyers-Briggs test is based on observations made by Isabel Briggs Myers, a Jungian therapist, and her daughter, Peter B. Myers. They observed how people behaved in different situations, and came up with a list of "categories" or "types" that people gravitated to. They were a key part of what is known as the "2-T" system of personality types: Thinking and Feeling. The categories are as follows:
