Hemithea personality type is INFP, and so if you think of the INFP, you think of the creative, kind, and often lonely person. But this was not the case with Hemithea, who was a well-adjusted young adult. She was still creative and kind and she was still very much in love with the idea of creating and sharing and learning and helping people. She was also still mostly alone, having not yet found a permanent group of friends to call her own.
When it came to relationships, however, Hemithea had a different story to tell.
She was very, very good at reading people. She could tell when someone was lying to her, and when someone was feeling hurt, and when someone needed help. When she was in a relationship, she could tell when the relationship was going south and when it was going just fine. She could tell when a person needed help and when a person just needed a pat on the head. She was very good at knowing what someone wanted from her and what someone needed from her.
This is not to say that Hemithea was a pushover. Far from it. She knew when someone was being a complete jerk. When someone was being an asshat.
Hemithea is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae erected by Philogène Auguste Joseph Duponchel in 1829. In 1999 there were about 31 species in the genus.
