I know the ESTJ's, ESTP's and ESFJ's of the world can be a bit of a pain, because we take our jobs and our careers to heart and we strive to be great at them. We like to lead and to be in charge. We don't like to take orders, and we like to know that our positions are secure. So when we're told that we have to take a job that requires us to be a certain way, it's a little bit difficult.
When I was writing my book, I talked about the ESTJ personality type as "The Executive." This personality type is the one who is going to have a hard time being a part of a team. That's because this type of personality is going to have a hard time being a team player. The ESTJ personality type is going to take a leadership role and once they have a position of authority, they're going to be extremely good at it. It's going to be really hard for them to step down from that position and let someone else take their place.
