What is the personality type of Blackmailer? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Blackmailer from Town Of Salem and what is the personality traits.
Blackmailer personality type is INTP, and I’m INTP.
(I’m also INTJ, but that’s a different essay altogether.)
So I know what it’s like to be the victim of blackmail. And I know how it feels to be blackmailed by another INTP. I’m pretty sure the only reason my ex-husband didn’t take over the world and launch a nuclear strike was because he was convinced that I had a “blackmailer personality type”, and he couldn’t do it without me.
(No, I don’t have a photo of my ex-husband.)
I have a theory about why INTPs are so attracted to each other. It is because our “blackmailer personality types” are one of the few things that INTPs have in common with each other. There are many things that INTPs disagree about, but in this area, we are in complete agreement.
And that’s exactly what I was thinking when I came across this piece on the subject:
Blackmail is an act of coercion using the threat of revealing or publicizing either substantially true or false information about a person or people unless certain demands are met. It is often damaging information, and may be revealed to family members or associates rather than to the general public. It may involve using threats of physical, mental or emotional harm, or of criminal prosecution, against the victim or someone close to the victim. It is normally carried out for personal gain, most commonly of position, money, or property. It is also used, sometimes by state agencies, to exert influence; this was a common Soviet practice, so much so that the term "kompromat", transliterated from Russian, is often used for compromising material used to exert control. Blackmail may also be considered a form of extortion. Although the two are generally synonymous, extortion is the taking of personal property by threat of future harm.
