Coven describes himself as more of a “plant person” than an “animal person”– but that doesn’t mean he’s not friendly to his four-legged friends.
“I do get along with animals,” Coven said. “I get along with all animals. I don’t think about them as specific things, though. I just see them as people.”
Coven was raised on a farm in New Jersey, where his family raised pigs and other livestock. He said he has always felt an affinity for animals, and thought he might one day become a veterinary doctor.
He eventually decided to pursue an education in graphic design, and after graduating college, he began working as a digital marketing manager for a haircare company. He moved to Seattle last year.
